Wahoo Students Ready to Show Off Talents Thursday Night!
Performers to Showcase Pogo Stick, Whistling, Singing & Dancing Skills
Wahoo Students from first grade through twelfth grade will show off their considerable talents in the Wahoo Talent Show at the WHS Performance-Learning Center this Thursday, April 26. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to wrap up by 8:30.
The talent show is a fundraiser for the school’s literary book. The book gives over 300 students the opportunity to publish their writing each year. Each published student gets a free copy of the paperback book.
The admission price to the talent show is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
The scheduled acts for the 2012 Wahoo Talent Show are as follows:
• Third grader Kennedy Wobker will sing “My Immortal,” by Evanescence.
• Third Graders Sierra Duckworth and Jenna Krenke will dance to the song, “Something to Dance For,” by Zendaya.
• First Grader Collin Bales will whistle the Star Spangled Banner. Mrs. Anderson will accompany him on the piano.
• Second graders Allison Eggleston and Josie Sutton will do a piano duet of the song, “Heart and Soul.”
• Third graders Aja Henderson and Rachel Steele will sing the song, “Fearless,” by Taylor Swift.
• Second grader Michael Robinson will demonstrate his skills on his pogo stick.
• Second graders Kearsten Peterson and Sophie Sherman will perform a piano duet.
• Second grader Sydney Barnes will perform the song from Annie, “You Are Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”
• Sixth graders Tessa Bewley, Payton Styskal, and Syndney Nicholls will perform a dance routine.
• Eighth grader Cole Talbert will perform a piano solo.
• Eighth grader Giselle Hernandez will perform an original song she wrote. She will sing and play her guitar.
• WHS seniors Taylor Miller and Cameron Golter will sing, “Looking for a Good Time,” by Lady Antebellum.
• Sophomore Rhiley Wood and freshman Ashley Benson will sing, “Because of You,” by Kelly Clarkson.”
• Senior Tara Burkey will sing, “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” by Carrie Underwood. Mrs. Anderson will accompany her on the piano.
• Senior Autumn Gerrish and sophomore Gabby Siebenaler will sing, “Something’s Got a Hold of Me,” by Christina Aguilera.
• Senior Zach Siemer will rap his original song compositions, “Zachariah’s Song,” “Sporty Song,” and “Niked Out.”
