Welcome to Wahoo High School
2021-2022 kicks off for all students on Aug. 19
Welcome back! It is hard to believe, but it is that time again. On behalf of Wahoo High School faculty and staff, I am excited to welcome you all back for the 2021-22 school year. We are ready to get this Fall off to a great start. Everyone has been busy this summer to make the school year a great one for you.
Doors will not open until 7:45 each morning and school this year begins at 8:10 a.m. and ends at 3:35 p.m. The change in time is to help accommodate a third lunch this year. This should allow students to get through the lunch line quicker and have more time to eat.
Masks are optional to begin the year when entering the building. We will start the year running school as normal as possible, while still working hard to maintain a safe environment for all our students. If changes in procedures need to be adjusted, we will be communicating immediately with students and parents.
Wahoo Public Schools will continue to offer the best educational experience possible for its students. For this to take place, it is more important than ever that parents and students take an active role in the educational process. Remember, attendance and active participation are the key components to ensure student success, so when healthy, make sure your student is present. If you have questions as we open, please remember to ask someone if you need help! Together we will work to make this a great school year!
Finally, we will hand out computers on the first day back. Please bring your signed device agreement and $35 with you on August 19. Students must have the agreement signed and the rental fee taken care of before a student’s device can leave the building.
