WMS/WHS 1to1 iPad/MacBook Initiative
Welcome back students and parents!
Wahoo Middle and High Schools are excited to continue their 1:1 iPad (WMS) and MacBook (HS) initiative for the upcoming school year! Here is some key information about the WPS 1:1 deployment:
2022 DATES FOR PARENT/STUDENT iPAD INFORMATION & DEPLOYMENT MEETINGS:
MONDAY, AUGUST 15, 2022 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Performance-Learning Center (for all 6th graders and new students in grades 6-12)
District leaders will review the 1:1 Program Policy and Procedures manual, address frequently asked questions, and provide basic information about the deployment and use of the devices for the upcoming school year. The WPS Loan and Acceptable Use Agreement Form must be signed and turned into the office before a device is checked out to a student. This document can be accessed by clicking HERE.
The $35 technology fee will need to be paid before the student receives a device. In addition, all outstanding school fines from the previous school year must be paid prior to the student receiving a device. The technology fee and school fines (except library fines, which must be paid at school) can be paid in advance of the parent/student meeting by accessing our E-Funds system (button located under "Quick Links" on the right side of this website), or by contacting the middle or high school offices. As a reminder, using our E-Funds system requires you to set up an account using your child's student ID. Please contact your child's school secretary if you need that number. It is advised to pay in advance in order to speed up the checkout process that evening.
Wahoo Public Schools will be providing a number of electronic resources and applications (apps) for your child. More information about this will be available at each of the parent/student meetings noted above.
We are very excited that our students will be participating in this engaging experience and we are looking forward to meeting with you at the upcoming meetings. If you have any questions in advance, feel free to contact us.
Yours in Learning,

|This is going to be really good for the kids to learn on and they will really adapt to technology they will need in life . I still wish we had key boarding for them as a class they really need this class first in the lower grades.|
