Students End Year with Good Deeds

Students at Wahoo Middle School were focused on serving others as they head into the summer break.  Each homeroom class in the school recently completed a community service project to aid many in the area.

8th graders washed teachers' cars and collected donations that were used to buy gift cards for patients at Children's Hospital in Omaha.
Projects included students washing teachers cars to raise money for gift cards that were donated to Childrens Hospital, collecting items for care packages that will be sent to soldiers in Afghanistan, picking up trash around the campus and community, lending a hand at local daycares, participating in care center carnival, gathering food items for the County Food Pantry and raising money for the Saunders County VFW Christmas fund.
Wahoo Middle School Principal Jason Libal and 8th grader Jerome Osterloh inspect their tape job as classmate Trevor Karr hangs from the wall. Middle school students raised money for the VFW Christmas fund by purchasing pieces of duct tape that were then used to suspend Trevor in the middle school hallway.
