WHS Chess Club Takes 3rd Place at Omaha Gross Competition
The Wahoo High School Chess Club captured the third place trophy in the Division Two chess competition at Omaha Gross High School on March 6.
Wahoo freshman Chase Rathke led the Warrior effort with three wins, one loss and a draw, while fellow freshman Dalton Rademaker and sophomore Rachel Mullholland won two matches, junior Michael Jonas added one win and a draw, and sophomore Melissa Watson contributed one win to the Wahoo effort.
Other schools competing at the tournament were Millard South, Millard North, Boys Town, Omaha Central, and Omaha Gross.
