In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Wahoo High School is pleased to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades K-6. It’s an exciting, week-long summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st Century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules.

2024 Camp Invention Curriculum: Illuminate™
The 2024 Camp Invention curriculum, Illuminate, was piloted and tested nationwide in 2023 for national implementation in summer 2024. The program will offer four modules that incorporate invention education, STEM and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) concepts.
The 2024 Camp Invention modules will include:
In the Game: In the Game is where athletics, design, invention and business come together for the win! Children will kick off each day with a team huddle to receive challenges and get their ideas rolling. For inspiration, they’ll explore the design features and specialized materials of a variety of sports balls and then create their own unique sports ball.
Let’s Glow: Children will explore the science of light and an array of illuminating inventions to engineer their own one-of-a-kind LED Glow Box display!
Operation: HydroDrop: Campers will make waves as they head out on an epic global operation to creatively solve water challenges around the world. With a little help from a personalized light-up robotic laboratory on wheels, children will gather data and dial up their creativity to help people and the planet.
Prototyping Studio: Children will step into the Prototyping Studio, where ideas are molded, shaped and transformed into their own unique invention. They’ll then grab their toolbox and join NIHFty Bot™ on a journey to discover that big ideas come from anywhere and anyone, including kids like them!
