WPS Third Grade Teacher Gets Showered by Her Students
Kids Defy All Odds by Keeping the Secret for Over a Month!
"Love is something you fall into," wrote Hannah S. of Ms. Diane Ray's third grade class. The class designed a book titled "Love Is . . ." with quotes written from her students for Ray to read and enjoy on her surprise bridal shower, held in her classroom on December 7, 2005.
Showered with gifts, cake, and most importantly lots of love, Ray was taken aback by the wonderful surprise lain before her by her class. When she walked through the door of her classroom, she was also graced by the unexpected presence of her mother and two grandmothers.
The class worked diligently for weeks on end to arrange the bridal shower for their dear teacher. The surprise shower has been incommunicado for over a month. Other teachers commented that students were given the homework assignment of quietly coming up with ideas for the party.
For any other third grade class, such a big secret would have been difficult to keep, but not Ray's class.
"I was shocked that 22 third graders kept this a secret for over a month!" Ray exclaimed. "It was truly special that they went out of their way to throw this surprise."

|How thoughtful of your students to share their feelings with you in the surprise bridal shower. And to keep it all a secret for so long.|
