"Drive Square at the Saunders County Fair" Set for August 1

Events:
* Drive Square Washington, D.C. (Marty Forrester)--get behind the wheel of the latest technology in driving simulators. We encourage any youth drivers or future drivers to come experience a virtual simulation of road readiness. Car sponsored by Woodhouse Family Auto Center.
* Saunders County Law Enforcement in Conjunction with Nebraska State Troopers will sponsor a roll over simulator.
* Nebraska Safety Center will demonstrate agriculture transportation safety on farm, truck, and ATVs.
* K-Love, an Omaha Christian radio station (88.1) will provide music for the event.
* State Farm's Program Steer Clear under 25.
* Nebraska Office of Highway Safety--Meet the crash test dummies Vince & Larry!
* Saunders County Youth Services will sponsor a distortion goggle relay.
* 100 bike helmets will be given away--sponsored by the Saunders County Probation Office, Saunders County Bankers Association, and the Saunders County Attorney.
* Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 Program
* Guest Speakers--Experienced speakers that survived fatal car crashes.
Handouts * Coloring Books * Drawings for a Nintendo Wii and $50 Gas

This event is held in loving memory of Nicholas H. Peters, Kyle Clark, Nathan Worley, Robert Forbes, Melanie Hanson, Niki Sudik, Tim and Ron Larsen, Kyle Elliott, Renee Polenski, Mitch Ostry, Sheila and Clem McGill, Kandyse Maly, Rachel Simon-Dixon, Andrew McGill, Tad Wispelare, and Mark Massie.
Our mission is to educate and make youth aware of better driving skills to preserve life. Overall our plans are to purchase a simulator for the state of Nebraska to assist in further educating our youth on such skills and the dangers of self impairment and road conditions. Survivor saves lives.
