Congratulations to the Wahoo High School Class of 2019!

This year's senior class celebrated its final day of school on Wednesday, May 8. Graduation was celebrated on Sunday, May 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Sixty-two percent of this year's graduates plan to attend a four-year college or university, 22 percent plan to attend a two-year college, 8 percent will join the workforce or are undecided about their future choice, and 8 percent will enlist into a branch of the military.

Seniors will attend 25 different post-secondary learning institutions, the largest numbers attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (13), Southeast Community College (8), and Wayne State College (5).

This senior class also realized success on the ACT: 14 seniors scored a 25 or better, and 2 seniors scored a 30 or better. The class also had one National Merit Scholarship finalist!

Eighty-two percent of seniors who applied for local scholarships have been awarded more than $70,000.
