Erin Curran Earns All-American Honors in Vancouver, Washington National Competition

Erin Curran, former Wahoo High School distance standout, recently earned several honors due to her running expertise. Curran, now competing for Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., helped her team claim their fifth straight Dakota Athletic Conference title on Friday, November 6, 2009, at Robbinsdale Park in Rapid City, S.D.

Curran was the individual conference champion for the Yellow Jackets, completing the course in 19 minutes, 12.12 seconds. She was named the Dakota Athletic Conference Outstanding Freshman of the Year for her performance.

The Black Hills State University women's team automatically qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic's Cross Country Championships because of their first place team finish.
