Welcome Back to the 2026-2027 School Year!
On behalf of the Wahoo High School faculty and staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our students and families as we begin the 2026-2027 school year. We are excited to have everyone back and look forward to another outstanding year of learning, growth, and achievement.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 20. Each morning, the school doors will open at 7:45 a.m., classes will begin promptly at 8:05 a.m., and the school day will conclude at 3:26 p.m. To help maintain a safe and secure environment, students should enter the building through either the main west entrance or the south activities entrance located near the football concession stand.
At Wahoo Public Schools, we remain committed to providing the highest quality educational experience for every student. Achieving this goal requires a strong partnership between our school, students, and families. Regular attendance and active classroom participation are essential to student success, so we encourage students to be in school each day when they are healthy. As we begin the year, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a teacher, counselor, administrator, or office staff member if you have questions or need assistance. Together, we will make this a successful and rewarding school year.
Student laptops will be distributed on the first day of school. Before a device can be taken home, parents or guardians must log into the Parent Portal and complete the Device Loan Agreement. The annual $35 technology fee may be paid during Open House on Monday, August 17, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., or on the first day of school. Students must have both the signed agreement and the technology fee completed before their device may leave the building.
Parking for the 2026-2027 school year will be as follows: Seniors will park in the Gold Lot located on the northwest side of the high school, reminder the driveway to that lot operates as one-way traffic. Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen will park in the Blue Lot south of the PLC. Students are expected to park only in the lot assigned to their parking permit. Parking assignments may be adjusted if circumstances require. All student vehicles parked on school property must display a valid parking permit, which may be obtained in the high school office.
We are excited to welcome everyone back to Wahoo High School and look forward to an exceptional year together. Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community. Let’s make the 2026-2027 school year our best yet!
