The students attended a luncheon in their honor with their families and school representatives on Friday, April 12 at Midland University. The students were welcomed by Midland Univeristy President Dr. Ben Sasse and the Market President of Pinnacle Bank Mr. Scott Meister.

After lunch, the students were addressed by Governor Dave Heineman. Governor Heineman spoke on the state of Nebraska’s efforts to continue the economic and educational strength of Nebraska. He encouraged the students to continue their education and leadership skills to continue to grow the state and our country.

After receiving their awards, the students heard from Midland University’s Director of Admissions Mr. Jason Blohm. Blohm encouraged the students to find the school that was the right for them. In addition, he announced that their partnership with Pinnacle Bank was unique in that each student who received this award and attended Midland University would be awarded $1000.

After the presentation, students had the opportunity to take a group picture with Governor Heineman.

Congratulations Elliott, Evann, Kelsey, Ronnie, and Tymber. We look forward to your bright futures ahead!
