Kindergarten and 1st Grade Performs "Home for the Holidays" for 2009 Christmas Concert

On December 14 the kindergarten and 1st graders performed their holiday concert “Home for the Holidays.”
The story is about a family trying to get home for Christmas, but everything is snowed out or closed. They take a magical ride in a sleigh and make it to grandma’s house just in time. It is a play about the importance of family and that home is where the heart is.
The speaking parts were Gage Sherman, Jena Krenke, Cooper Hancock, Brett Whittaker, Cadie Mattson, Teja Farley, Kiara Libal, Faith Westlund, Justin Nuckolls, and Harrison Siebenaler.
The 5th grade band also performed three pieces. The band is under the direction of Tim Rischling, and the Elementary Music Director is Kristin Laughlin.
