Designed as a partnership linking the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with your high school, Advanced Scholars gives qualified seniors and students identified as high ability or gifted students the opportunity to enroll in online University courses. All UNL Advanced Scholars courses are regular first-year offerings from the various colleges within the University system. The course syllabi, textbooks, assignments and grading practices are the same as those used by the faculty for on-campus classes. As an Advanced Scholar you will:
* Get
used to the rigors of college-level coursework;
* Stay challenged and strengthen your study habits;
* Earn University credit-giving you more flexibility once you
arrive on campus;
* Learn from UNL faculty at a major Research
institution.
Students who enroll in the UNL College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) courses automatically become participants in the Nebraska Academy. The Academy features competitive scholarships, on-campus interactions with faculty, field trips, early career experiences and partnerships with faculty in credit-generating research projects. Students will be contacted about these complementary opportunities once they express interest in the Advanced Scholars courses that are offered by CASNR.
Students who register and successfully complete Advanced Scholars online courses earn college credit, verified by an official UNL transcript.Connecting Nebraska High School Students to the University Experience!
