Reporting Absences
If your child is ill or will miss school for any reason, please call the school office by 8:40 a.m. on the morning of the absence.
You may also report an absence electronically by using the Email an Absence button below.
Per Saunders County Unified Attendance Codes, students may be counted truant if a parent or guardian does not notify the school prior to this time.
Parents of absent students will receive an automated phone call if the school has not been notified.
Early Dismissals & School Closings
Please review the district calendar available on the school website.
If the school schedule changes due to weather or other circumstances, notifications will be shared through:
- The district phone alert system
- District social media channels
- Local news stations
Please notify the school whenever your contact information changes so we can communicate important updates promptly.
-
We understand that medical appointments and other important commitments may occasionally need to be scheduled during the school day.
Because instructional time is a high priority, we encourage families to schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
If your child must leave school during the day, please notify both the office and your child's teacher in writing in advance.
