Howdy, Warrior Families!

A smiling, bald man with a beard wears a white polka-dot shirt and a black tie against a textured gray background.

It's time to round up for another school year at Wahoo Elementary!

This year, our staff will use the theme "WILD about LEARNING!" to help students discover three important things:

  1. The thrill and adventure of exploring new ideas

  2. The value of hard work

  3. The importance of grit and determination when challenges arise

We believe children build confidence when they are allowed to face challenges. Our approach is to stand alongside them, providing coaching and encouragement rather than helping them avoid challenges altogether.

Saddle up and join us for our Elementary Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, August 18, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. It's a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher and get settled in.

We're excited for another year of learning, growth, and success with your family.

Happy Trails,

Ben Kreifels
Elementary Principal

You may also report an absence electronically by using the Email an Absence button below.

    Email an Absence

Per Saunders County Unified Attendance Codes, students may be counted truant if a parent or guardian does not notify the school prior to this time.

Parents of absent students will receive an automated phone call if the school has not been notified.

    Early Dismissals & School Closings

Please review the district calendar available on the school website.

If the school schedule changes due to weather or other circumstances, notifications will be shared through:

    • The district phone alert system
    • District social media channels
    • Local news stations

Please notify the school whenever your contact information changes so we can communicate important updates promptly.

  • We understand that medical appointments and other important commitments may occasionally need to be scheduled during the school day.

Because instructional time is a high priority, we encourage families to schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
