Alternative Communication Techniques (Dr. John Maag, UNL Professor)
Dr. Maag spoke to WPS staff on August 12, 2008.
"Alternative Communication Techniques is a foundation committed to providing training and consultation for educational and mental health personnel to improve academic, social, and therapeutic outcomes for youngsters. Its founding principle is that relationship difficulties intensify when communication occurs using conventional patterns. Therefore, a variety of positive outcomes with others can be achieved by learning and using innovative or alternative communication techniques." Dr. Maag can be reached at jmaag1@unl.edu.
