Feature image-0WHS sophomore Vanis Davidson, an E6 Petty Officer First Class in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, has been selected to participate in Fleet Week NY 2018. As part of this experience, Davidson will join a small number of chosen U.S. Cadets for a May 18-23 cruise from Norfolk, VA to New York City aboard the USS Arlington.

The list of reasons that justify an “excused” absence during final exam week is short, and includes illness, hospitalization, and special extenuating circumstances . . . like traveling the North Atlantic Ocean on a U.S. Navy ship. In 1960 the Navy League of the United States Navy created the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps ( USNSCC ). Spring 2018 NCPA Academic All-State Awards announced

Five WHS student athletes honored for their achievement

The Nebraska School Activities Association ( NSAA ) is pleased to announce the student recipients of the Spring 2018 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards . Since 2006 this NSAA Award Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity. Nominated students must be varsity players or organizational leaders who have played a significant role on the team. Nominees must have a minimum cumulative grade point average, in all curricular subjects, of 93%, or 3.7 on a 4.0-point scale. Each year the NSAA and the NCPA recognize students during Fall, Winter and Spring . . .
