---------------
Friends of Wahoo's 2nd grade Warrior, Jaxon Kreifel, have set up a fundraiser for Sunday, November 16.
Jaxon is 7 years old and attends school at Wahoo Elementary. Jaxon has been diagnosed with a rare disorder called Christianson Syndrome. This is a degenerative disorder of the nervous system that has caused Jaxon to have seizures and feeding difficulties. The disorder also prevents Jaxon from being able to walk.
Due to the progression of his illness, modifications need to be made to the family's home, and the purchase of a modified van and wheelchair is now necessary. This fundraiser was organized to assist with these expenses.
The fundraiser theme is "Oh the Places He'll Go!" (borrowed from the Dr. Seuss book Oh, the Places You'll Go!), as having a wheelchair van is essential for Jaxon to be able to get out and experience the world around him.
Jason is the son of Jim and Jayne Kreifel (grandson of Marcel and Arlene Kovar, and Linda Simrell), and the family has resided in Wahoo for over 10 years. Jaxon and his family are members of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
If you have any questions or would like to donate, please contact Katie Bunjer (402-525-9466) or Joni Pearson (402-440-3801).
Please join us for a fun night supporting this very deserving young boy! Thank you for your support!
WHS football players pose with Wahoo Elementary 2nd grade student Jaxon Kreifel. The Warrior football team dedicated last Friday's final season game vs. North Bend Central to Jaxon. Jaxon was presented with a jersey and autographed football, and numerous activities were held to raise funds to help Jaxon's family purchase a modified wheelchair van.
