WHS Juniors/Seniors Encouraged to Participate in Upcoming John Baylor Test Prep

Online ACT Preparation Provided by District

by WHS Principal Chris Arent

February 04, 2008

Dear Senior, Junior & Sophomore Parent/Guardians:

Wahoo High School, in conjunction with Cedar Bluffs HS, will host an ACT test prep geared to the April 12, 2008 test date. Teachers from WHS and Cedar Bluffs high schools will teach the test prep sessions using a variety of resources. This year students and teachers have access to John Baylor’s online Baylor Online Test Prep resources. Baylor’s test prep generally runs over $200 per person.

In addition to participating in the group ACT Prep course, each student will have full access at school to all the Baylor Online Test Prep sessions, bonus materials, and college counseling content. Students will be encouraged to access these resources individually outside of class by asking the designated teacher, media director or counselor to log into www.JohnBaylorTestPrep.com'sprivate area. It will be the student’s responsibility to find the time and ask for access.

This test prep is open to sophomores planning to take the ACT in the fall of their junior year, and, all current juniors and seniors.

The ACT preparation classes will be held at Wahoo High School’s Library Board Room from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the following Wednesday nights:

March 26

April 2

April 9

The fee is $50. Fee & registration is due by March 17 to the WHS Guidance Office. Checks need to be made out to “Wahoo High School” with “Test Prep” written in the memo line. The retake fee is $25 for students who have participated in a WHS Test Prep last Spring or Baylor Online Test Prep in last Fall.

You may use a printed Registration Form to register for the program (Click HEREto access this form). Sign up early. Seating is limited due to the fact this program is offered to Cedar Bluffs and Bishop Neumann students as well as WHS students. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for college entrance testing.

Sincerely,

Chris Arent, Principal

Terry Kopish, Guidance Counselor
